Well, from previous games and this one included, that isn't the case. You need to attend certain events to get them, and the events are only in selected countries. For someone who lives in, say Canada, won't get the opportunity to get the pokemon, thus gets shafted by Nintendo. There is no other way to get some pokemon besides hacking/glitching, or trading outrageously to get them.

| I know. I've sent Nintendo several E-mails concerning this topic. The only response I get is a request to buy a Nintendo power subscription :| |

just about...NOC (Nintendo of Canada) is basically just an office for the purpose for shipping stuff, they have absolutely no say in Nintendo of JP's dealings, same with NOA though, they have very little to no say in what Nintendo of Japan does, so all you fans ranting to NOA about the crap on the Wii (all their lacklustre stuff like NWFC and such)...you just may wanna search for a English to kanna(the current Japanese graphology I believe)translator and send your complaints to Nintendo of Japan, and then...MAYBE then you may be heard...then again, what do a bunch of westerners know about gaming?

NOA does have say in the events in North America though. Having chatted several times with NOA Andy back at the old Nsider, He's told me that they are able to host all their events and have the final say. Still though. Canada gets shafted by Nintendo, even if it is the Japan headquarters that run every little thing. Most of Europe got a chance at all these events, but unfortunately, Canada doesn't. You can't rant about games to NOA, but events you can... they still won't do anything though. Jerks

well, i suppose NOC should do something about events in Canada (they sure could), but ya, they are jerks. apparently today, ninty released that they made a 116% profit off of the Wii and 115% profit off the DS (or something like that)which totals about 1.67 trillion yen, which is roughly 16 billion Canadian?, ( ya i use Canadian Dollars...whatcha gonna do about it?)and thats still a lot of of money, especially if its profit to a company that ONLY makes games...I guess that means, that as long as they're making money, they probably don't care about what consumers want, at lest they wont start to worry until they cant light them cigars with $100's anymore....In my Opinion...
