Hello all and welcome to "[b][red][size=3][i]Pokemon Tournament '07[/i][/size=3][/red][/b]" and we thank all of those, who participate in this event. We just have some ground rules for those entering the tournament.

[b]The Registration[/b][/size=3]- When you enter this tournament, you [b]MUST[/b] Post your team that you are going to use for the tournament. You DO NOT have to post your move sets (if you do, its your choice, but honestly be ready to be countered easily). You [b]cannot[/b] change your team once it has been registered for the [b]TOURNAMENT[/b]. During the season you may change your team, but you have to post your changes in the this thread (along with stats) before your battles or you will be Disqualified. Please Remember, Once the [b]FINAL TEAM REGISTRATION[/b] date has passed, the team that you have register on the forums, is the team you must stick with. You must also post your friend Codes [url="http://levelupgamerboards.forumco.com/topic~TOPIC_ID~9.asp"]HERE[/url]  so that when you register here, you just need to post your Forum User Name, and your team, and We will take care of the FC's.

[size=3][b]The Season[/b][/size=3]- The Season will Start November 28th 2007. The Matches [b]MAY[/b] be Monitored (Tentative to Change) But as far as battles go, If they are not monitored, we will use the Honor system, but the winner posting that they won, and how many pokemon were defeated on both sides. If there is a conflict between the two parties on who won, The matter may be looked into, other wise it will be declare as a LOSS towards both parties. We will post the season schedule in this tread, so please check daily to see when you have a battle (We Will also send you an email the day OF the battle). Please Note that the season is open levels, so if you enter this tournament with level 20's you are most likely going to be playing against people in the 70's and up, So you may want to do some heavy training before the registration ends, and the season starts. (please Note that if you do training in between season games, you must report any changes in stats/levels.)

[b]The Tournament[/b][/size=3] - The tournament is currently dated to start December 24th 2007 (The date is subject to change). The Tournament Will set as Elimination, so if you lose one game, your out. The Tournament will be the Top 8 (lowest will be top 4, and the most will be top 16, depends on how many enter the tournament) in the season will qualify for the Tournament Play-offs. In the tournament, [b]ALL BATTLES WILL TAKE PLACE UNDER THE LEVEL 100 OPTION[/b] (Again Subject to change). To be eligible for the tournament, you must have your final team registered by the Final Set Date (To Be Announced) and you must qualify in the top 8 (We Will post who has qualified and email the people who have qualified) In case of a tie for the last spot, the  two parties will have a tie breaker match, in which the winner will make the tournament.

[size=3][b]The Pokemon[/b][/size=3] - You need to register your Pokemon to enter [size=3][red][i]Pokemon Tournament '07[/i][/red][/size=3] (see registration rules above).

[size=3][b]BATTLE RULES[/b][/size=3]
Those were registration rules, now its on to the real BATTLE rules:
[red]Pokemon Regulations:[/red] 
-The following Pokemon are BANNED from this tournament due to legitimacy concerns and fairness: Mew, Celebii, Jirachi, Deoxys, Arceus, Shaymin, Darkrai, Wabuffet.

-A team must consist of 6 Pokemon, and each Pokemon must be different (not two Pokemon can be the same). As such, please do not enter two Pokemon with the SAME nickname. Nicknames are encouraged, but try to mix it up a bit. If you have a nicknamed Pokemon, make sure the name is in no way offensive.

-The Pokemon can not be altered by any hacking devices such as Action Replay, Pokesave and Gameshark. An example would be a Turtwig with 500 attack power and knows Fly, explosion, surf and sheer cold. Outrageous, but it does happen.

-All pokemon are allowed to hold Items. However, no two Pokemon may have the same hold item. [i]subject to change[/i]

-SLEEP CLAUSE: Players may not cause two or more pokemon on the same team to be affected by the sleep condition. [i]subject to change[/i]

-Evasion Clause:Moves to boost evasion to amazing heights (double team) are not permitted. They can be cheap and unfair.

-The user of the move will loose if all Pokemon faint due to self-destruct or explosion.

-Destiny bond and perish song may not be used by the final pokemon on a team.

-UBER CLAUSE: As of right now, our uber clause is that you are permitted [red][size=4]ONE[/size=4][/red]Uber pokemon. Ubers are:
-lugia
-ho oh
-mewtwo
-Latias
-Latios
-Kyogre
-groudon
-rayquaza
-Dialga
-Palkia
-Giratina 
-Manaphy

For those of you, here is the official Announcement made Nov.5, 2007. Please refer to the General tournaments Rules for additional rules. This is the official Thread containing all you need to know about the tournament. Rules: Entrants(include Team, moves for each pokemon, and their stats): Prizes: First: Sig add-on and a shiny, non-legendary Pokemon of their choosing. This is a LEGIT pokemon as well. Second:Sig add-on Third: Sig add-on This thread will be updated as the rules are finalized. This is just to let everyone know that this WILL be happening and to just sit tight until we finalize everything. SUPERDUPERLAD

Don't feel that you suck and you can't join, or you feel you'll get your butt kicked. Chances are, you're pretty good, and are just too modest/ lazy to enter. This is only slightly a show of skill. It is more about the fun. SO COME ON AND JOIN, HAVE SOME FUN!
