And so concludes the tutorials on how to post video content on our forums. here we go.
Posting Google Video.
When posting Google video, videos, you need to change the url quite a bit. so I am going to post three version of the Google video url, 2 urls that you may get, and what you have to change it to, to work.
This http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-746488779600817705&pr=goog-sl doesn't work
&
This http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-746488779600817705 doesn't work
This http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=-746488779600817705&hl=en works
Explanation: The difference between the two urls (well, technically three, but whatever) is the, the first to urls, include html in them. the second one more so, to the fact that you wont even get the white box that says hosted by: at the bottom. The first url is getting closer because it is actually the url of the video, and some, keyword some of the content around it. the third url works because it converts the page to a flash file that the forum video player recognizes and directly links to the video itself. so baisically, what you want to is, after "http://video.google.com/" get rid of "videoplay" and add "googleplayer.swf", and add "&hl" at the end of the number in the url and "=en" (if you got the first url I posted, follow the same steps, except get rid of the "&pr" and replace it with "&hl" and get rid of "goog-sl" and add "en")
then you either highlight the url and press the or manually type in (gv) at the beginning of the url, and (/gv) at the end of the url (You need to substitute the "()" with "[]".
