Im getting a Wii for christmas (I already know, I saw my presnt....shhh dont tell:P)
and i was wondering, do you think were gonna see a stop to all these either half hearted games/ partygames?

eventually. Its more of a case of, monkey see, monkey do. Developers see Nintendo Making all these party games, and for some reason, they are selling better than they should be...(i mean, COME ON PEOPLE, HOW THE HECK DID MARIO PARTY 8 OUT SELL FREAKING ZELDA!?!?!?! THAT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN!)so, deelopers are seeing this success and get the great idea, to make party games for the wii as well (not even decent party games mind you) so whats why we have the influx of party games. Secondly, its how Nintendo is marketing the Wii. Honestly, at the time of launch, how many Zelda ads did you see verses Wario Ware(which is a fun party game mind you) and recently, how many Mario party DS(WHY WONT THIS SERIES DIE?!?!?!) as oppose to the LOZ:phantom hourglass commercials. And have you noticed, the Wii doesnt advertise on channels like FOX, Global, CBC, or even omni, no the go for Kids WB, with their stupid mario party game. I mean, if they actually spent time advertising games like RE:Umbrella chronicles and HOPEFULLY they advertise No More Heroes (even though they are 3rd party games:P) then people might actually know about them, and buy them. I'm telling you now, I bet a good chunk of the population doesn't even know about RE:Umbrella chronicles...anyways, back to the topic after my rant, ya, they may stop them and make actual games, but not anytime soon. All we can hope for is No More heroes for now.

| I agree with haze. They will eventually come out with some better games (No more heroes, Brawl, Mario Kart (well, for me), and... that's about it as of now...) but I can only hope that they do, cause right now I have a $280 paper weight. I know for a fact I'm getting a 360 fro Christmas (I snooped around too ;) don't tell), and I'm glad. I'll actually have something that I can play for over two hours without getting bored. |

just get a ps3....:)
In the meantime while Im wating for some good games for the Wii, im playing the ps3 and the pc(mostly the pc though), they'll stop eventually, especially with the rumors of KOTOR 3 comming out for the wii (which is a third party developer actually brining their serise to Wii, and not spin offs). |
