Well, E3 is coming this year, and Nintendo plans to announce some new stuff. from More storage for the Wii, possibly Wii Voice Chat (rumored) What about the DS? there is some speculation coming up about a new DS. while I doubt that, here are something I would like to See on an update.
Messaging System:
We all know, there are these chat room things, which are fine, they work , but I would like to see a online function, even with console specific codes or something, just would be a neat feature.
Touch Screen:
This works well. however, the technology is dated, and maybe a multi-detection touch screen? maybe even 2? (naw, not 2....)
Screen:
Bigger screens, and a higher resolution
Graphics:
it would be nice if they gave it better graphics, maybe not gamecube caliber (although that would be nice) but something more, something that can be refined.
Internal memory:
just some memory to store game saves and such, just so like, if you lose or trade in/sell a game, if you get it back again, you don't have to start all over again, your game save is still there.
Online:
and obviously the friend codes. adding on to my last comment, the problem would be if it was an online game, and you have friends registered, you would now have to do it all over again....not fun.
If you have any other Ideas voice them!

DS2, if announced will be the biggest thing at E3 for Nintendo. I don't think that they'll change a whole lot from the ds to the DS2. Updated graphics maybe, something closer to a N64 style (although not quite yet). They'll keep the touch screen I think as it has proved to be useful for their casual gamer appeal (blech). They may have some internal memory, but i doubt that it will be for games. It will probably be more for communication capabilities or achievements that you could get from games. Similar to a gamer tag for the xbox. Online NEEDS to be updated for this system to really work. Wi-Fi sucks as it is now and it just needs some power.
Also, look for Nintenbdo to virtual technology that throws you into the game with this new one. Virtual boy revisited (I joke). |
