Hi am a smash bros fan, and i wanna walk about all things SMASH BROS!
personally i think that the best smash brose so far is melee, and the funniest is smash bros 64

i like ganondorf and the ice climbers, i always hated when people who say ice climders suck. when you master them they are really powerfull together

Although it is Highly unlikely they will not return for brawl, there is no official source saying that they aren't in brawl.

Well there is a official source. They said that ice climbers and mr game&watch aren't popular enough to make it in brawl. I shall check if I can find it again.

Only Official source is Nintendo, Nintendo employees and game workers/makers/developers. It is mere speculation that they won't make it in (although I agree that they most likely won't be in. Ice climbers, maybe, Game and watch, nope. Same goes with clones)

Where though? That's all that I want to know. I know that they most likely won't be in the game, but you can never count past players out.
I want to see some hard evidence that states that they will not make a return.
Even IGN doesn't know that they aren't in, and they are usually the first to know everything: http://wii.ign.com/articles/809/809868p5.html
it states that they are on the fence, meaning they could fall either way. Lost in who knows where, or they fall onto the Lush pasture of game characters.
